Use of Community Amenities Money

“Community Should Be Heard,” Valley Edition Editorials, Dec. 31.

I was in the [Pacoima] parade a few years back, and we needed no money at all because we were all volunteers and no money was involved.

I called City Councilman Alex Padilla’s office to ask what the $10,000 was used for, and they could not tell me but said they would get back to me and let me know. Well, this was a week ago and I’m still waiting for an answer.

Yes, my community has the right to know.
