Osprey Aircraft

Share

The Jan. 5 commentary on the Marines’ Osprey doesn’t go far enough by arguing that this aircraft/helicopter is an albatross at taxpayer expense. In the jungles of Vietnam over 30 years ago, the M-14 rifle was traded in for the M-16, which had many problems that eventually killed many GIs by not operating properly when in a firefight.

How many more Marines must die from crashes of this albatross that the Marine Corps is too proud to get rid of from its war arsenal? Who are the ones making money off of this hardware? I bet there are some Marine Corps higher-ups who are afraid to say anything in opposition to purchasing this hardware, in fear that their military career tickets won’t be punched anymore.
