Back Problems Sideline Dupay

Florida guard Teddy Dupay has a herniated disc in his lower back, an injury that will keep him out four to six weeks. Dupay will join forward Brent Wright on the bench because of injuries. Last week, Wright had surgery on a stress fracture in his right foot. He’s out three to six weeks. . . . Arizona co-captain Gene Edgerson, apparently upset over a lack of playing time, has been told by acting coach Jim Rosborough to stay home while the Wildcats travel to Washington and Washington State this week. . . . An MRI exam on the right foot of Stanford’s Curtis Borchardt revealed no damage. Borchardt, a backup center, expects to play Thursday against Oregon State. . . . Alabama player Rod Grizzard and Louisiana State Coach John Brady were reprimanded by the Southeastern Conference for their conduct after last weekend’s game in Baton Rouge, La., which Alabama won, 82-73.
