North Korea’s reclusive leader Kim Jong Il is reportedly traveling in China on his second secret trip to the neighboring country in eight months, and diplomats and analysts say he is probably taking a closer look at the impact of market reforms on the Chinese economy and consulting with Beijing about how to handle the incoming administration of President-elect George W. Bush. The reclusive leader’s visit to China comes amid quickening efforts by communist North Korea to break out of diplomatic isolation and improve relations with rival South Korea.
