Hearing Delays Trial on Embassy Blasts

From Times Wire Reports

The New York trial of four men accused of conspiring to bomb U.S. embassies in Africa was postponed as a judge scheduled a hearing that he said must be held in private to protect “national security.” Sources said it would focus on whether an alleged confession by Mohamed Rashed Daoud Al-’Owhali, 24, of Saudi Arabia, could be used at trial. Last week, a federal judge said it couldn’t be used, but he reconsidered his decision at the behest of prosecutors who then sought the hearing, the sources said.
