Dear Joins Virtual CEO as Technical Chief

Teresa Dear has been named chief technology officer of Virtual CEO Inc. in San Juan Capistrano. Prior to joining the company, Dear was chief information officer and chief technical officer for iVentus. Before that, she held senior management positions at Toshiba America Information Systems and worked for Western Digital, Silicon Systems and Rockwell International’s electronics division.

* Tom Deutsch has been appointed vice president of product management at Enhansiv in Irvine. Deutsch had been the chief information officer and founder of eCloser.com.

* Donald Schmidt has joined R.D. Olson Construction in Irvine as project manager. He will oversee contract administration, budgeting, construction management and scheduling for the Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites, both in Anaheim. During his career, he has worked for California Community Builders as a project manager and Hughes Development Corp., managing commercial and residential construction.

* Eugene V. Fife has been named chairman of the board of National InterBank in Irvine. He was previously chairman of Goldman Sachs International. Fife succeeds J. Randall Waterfield and Richard Waterfield, who served as co-chairmen and will now continue as co-chief executives. In addition, Joseph H. Wender, the former head of the Goldman Sachs Financial Institutions Group, has been named to the National InterBank advisory board.

* Kim C. Yorgason has joined SI Technologies Inc. in Tustin as chief financial officer. He was previously controller with Ventana Medical Systems Inc. and held management positions including vice president of finance and controller with SensorMedics Corp.

* William A. Grant II has been elected 2001 president of the Southern California Veterinary Medical Assn. He practices at the Community Veterinary Hospital in Garden Grove.

* Pru Zerny has been named a member of the board of directors of Veronex Technologies Inc. in Newport Beach. She had previously been on the board from 1997 to 2000. Zerny succeeds W. Gennen McDowall, who resigned.

* Sterling McGregor has been appointed managing director of acquisition financing for Triple Net Properties LLC. He will continue as a director and chairman of acquisitions for TREIT, a public real estate investment trust advised by Triple Net. In addition, Sophy Tan joined the property management department as portfolio accountant. She was formerly with CB/Richard Ellis. Steve Corea joined the asset management department as senior asset manager. Corea has 15 years of experience in real estate asset management, acquisitions, dispositions and finance, including eight years as vice president in Bank of America’s REO and private banking divisions.

* Louis C. Cullman and Kevin W. Kirsch have been elected partners in the Orange County office of Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly LLP. Cullman’s practice focuses on patents for biotechnology, in vitro medical devices, vaccines, immunotherapeutic agents and technology licensing. Kirsch is a trial lawyer for intellectual property and business litigation.

* Samuel H. Gruenbaum has been appointed to the board of directors of the California Assn. of Dental Plans. He is president and chief executive of Western Dental Services Inc. in Orange.
