New Name for Beverly Hills Visitors Bureau

Hoping to cash in even more on its cachet as the home of swimming pools and movie stars, the Beverly Hills Visitors Bureau today changes its name and much of its sales focus to capture more of the lucrative meeting and group travel segment. The newly dubbed Beverly Hills Conference and Visitors Bureau, funded by city hotel taxes, plans to put “more energy” into cementing relationships with nationwide meeting planners and major companies that offer luxury trips as incentives, bureau director Jeb Baird said. The business of meetings has been something of a growth industry in Beverly Hills over the past few years.
