Our Child Care Priorities Need Change

“Going Beyond the Family Leave Act” (Jan. 2) hit the nail on the head: Public education should begin at age 3 or 4, yet it does not. The corporate world is completely out of sync with the typical school schedule, yet no one addresses it. Children, including adolescents, need supervision, yet they don’t get it. Millions of families struggle with these issues every day. Where is the outrage, the impetus for change?
