Experts Will Discuss Energy Deregulation

Is California’s electricity and natural gas crisis a product of market failure or legislative bungling? Why has energy deregulation worked in other parts of the country and not in California? Energy experts are expected to address these and related issues Wednesday at a daylong conference sponsored by a nonprofit advocacy group of local energy professionals. Speakers also plan to outline steps that businesses, municipalities and large institutions can take to manage their energy costs.
