Bigger, Not Better

A perfect local example of Michael Phillips’ “Coming Soon to a Barn Near You” (June 17) was the staging of Julie Taymor’s “The King Stag” at UCLA’s Royce Hall. The show was lost on the big stage.

The Freud Playhouse would have been the perfect venue, as it has been for other similar puppet and people shows. But, hey, think of all the revenue they would have missed out on!
