Defining Values

While reading “Teachers’ Proposal on Gays Protested” (July 4) I noticed my brain automatically changed the name of the sponsoring organization, Focus on the Family, to Focus on Bigotry. I have noticed this before, when the name of the Traditional Values Coalition automatically changed to Traditional Hatred Coalition. Could it be that everything these two organizations sponsor has nothing to do with families or values but rather everything to do with bigotry and hatred?
