Champions Highlight Equestrian Grand Prix

Three-time world champion show jumper Rodrigo Pessoa of Brazil and current world champion and Olympic gold medalist Jeroen Dubbeldam of Holland are among the equestrians competing in the Grand Prix of the United States later this week at San Juan Capistrano.

U.S. Olympians Margie Engle, Lauren Hough and Laura Kraut are also among the show jumpers who will be riding Friday through Sunday at the Rancho Mission Viejo Riding Park.

Schedule: $10,000 Welcome Jump-off at 4 p.m. and $25,000 Time First Round at 6 p.m. Friday; $10,000 Accumulator at 1 p.m. and $35,000 Speed Derby at 3 p.m. Saturday; $175.000 Grand Prix at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Single-day general-admission tickets are $15 Friday and Saturday, $25 Sunday. Three-day passes are $65 and include parking.
