Suspected Rebel Leader Caught, Official Says
From Times Wire Reports
A man suspected of being an Abu Sayyaf commander was among 71 people arrested in a crackdown on the Muslim rebel group and its supporters, presidential spokesman Rigoberto Tiglao said.
Anwar Abdul Hammin was on a military list of wanted rebel leaders, Tiglao said without providing details of his alleged crimes. There was a $20,000 reward out for his capture.
Troops have been chasing the rebels since they raided a tourist resort in May, taking 20 hostages.
