Inverted Justice

Re “Dog Killer Sent to Prison,” July 14: Please do not misunderstand. I absolutely do not condone what Andrew Burnett did, and I believe he should be punished. What I do not understand is how Burnett can get three years in prison for killing a dog, and a lady talking on her cell phone in her Range Rover in Pacific Palisades can kill two elderly ladies crossing the street, and her punishment is home detention and not being able to talk on her cell phone anymore in her car. Where is the justice in that?
