Successful Match Made Without ‘Surrender’

Believe me, there are blissful, successful marriages out there--even with children--without idiocy such as “The Surrendered Wife” (“My Dinner With the Doyles,” by Matthew Heller, June 24). I had 43 glorious years with The Grand Man and seven great children who always have taken it in stride that everyone is entitled to their independence--both men and women.
