Palestinian Baby Slain

Re “Mideast Mantra: ‘They Kill You, You Kill Them,’ ” July 21:

Does anyone not see the outrageous and tragic irony of the quotes from Israeli Hebron settler leader David Wilder regarding the killing of 3-month-old Diyaa Tmaizeh and two adults by Israeli terrorists? He said, “If and when they ever do find whoever did this shooting, they will not find a psychopathic killer who is bloodthirsty but people who have reached their saturation points and said the situation is impossible,” and, “The only people to blame for it is the present Israeli government that is sitting on its hands and has abandoned us.”

The truth is that if Israel had not built illegal settlements throughout occupied Palestine, using those settlements as a weapon of war while it continually violated the human rights of the Palestinians, this, along with most of the other terrorist acts, would probably not have happened.
