Palm Inc. said it will cut additional jobs in the current quarter. The company did not specify how many positions would be eliminated, but said it will release more details when it reports its fiscal fourth-quarter results the week of June 25. Santa Clara, Calif.-based Palm already had cut 300 regular and contract workers last month, bringing its work force to 1,700.

Palm also said it has hired Todd Bradley, formerly executive vice president of global operations at Gateway Inc., as executive vice president and chief operating officer for its Solutions Group, which handles Palm’s hardware products.

Bradley, 42, replaces Satjiv Chahil, Palm’s chief marketing officer, who was appointed in March to serve as interim head of the Solutions Group.
