31 Illegal Immigrants Found in ‘Drop House’
Thirty-one illegal immigrants were found hiding in a home on a residential street, where they had been left without food or water, the Border Patrol said Monday.
It was the fourth discovery of a migrant “drop house” since April in the Imperial County community, 25 miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border. So far this year, 144 illegal immigrants have been found in such houses in Brawley.
Acting on a tip, agents went to the home Sunday and found 30 men and one woman, all Mexican citizens. None required medical attention; all were returned to Mexico.
