Surrogate Gives Arizona Couple Quadruplets
A woman who volunteered to be a surrogate mother for a friend gave birth Wednesday to three girls and a boy, all delivered by Caesarean section.
Stacey and David Beehler, both 35, of Glendale had tried for 13 years to have a child when friend Deborah Vibber, 30, offered to carry a child for them.
David Austin, weighing 4 pounds, came first at 7 a.m., followed by his three sisters: Michele Lynn, 4 pounds, 3 ounces; Kylee Ileen, 2 pounds, 15 ounces; and Shiann Nicole, 4 pounds, 2 ounces--each a minute apart.
All were reported in fair condition Wednesday at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
Vibber was listed in good condition. She has two children of her own.
