Message in the Mural

[Area resident] Janet Canterbury’s views concerning the mural at Stoner Park (“A Mural Hangs in Limbo,” June 3) can best be described as naive. Anyone who has resided in the area adjacent to Stoner Park for any amount of time (in my case seven years) is well aware of the vandalism and other unlawful activity that the Sotel gang engages in. Sotel’s “gang lifestyle” should not be commemorated in any way, shape or form.
