Gathering Opposes Hate Crime After an Incident

More than 70 civic leaders, legislators, law enforcement officials and residents gathered Thursday to speak out against hate crimes in the wake of a recent firebombing.
On June 1, someone threw a Molotov cocktail at the home of an interracial couple, setting the residence on fire. The house also was used as a day-care center. The victims lost their business and their belongings.
