Bacteria Prompt Recall of Eye Makeup Remover

Share
From Times Staff and Wire Reports

An eye makeup remover is being recalled because some bottles contain bacteria that can cause sight-threatening corneal infections, the Food and Drug Administration said.

The Azusa manufacturer is recalling 16,300 bottles of Pierre Fabre Physicians Formula Eye Makeup Remover Lotion after routine sampling found traces of two bacteria.

The recalled 2-ounce bottles have the number 698 on the back of the label and the batch numbers 0821 or 0601 on the bottom of the bottle.
