700 Rebels Killed in Battles, Army Says

Rwanda’s army said it had killed more than 700 rebels in three weeks of fighting with ethnic Hutus who attacked the country from Congo.
Rwandan artillery pounded the border this week as the army tried to keep the rebels from fleeing to their hide-outs in Congo after their mid-May invasion triggered the country’s bloodiest battles in years.
