Glemp’s Proposal

Share

Jozef Cardinal Glemp’s proposal that the Jews apologize for the rise of Poland’s Communist regime following the Jews’ near eradication in World War II falls into the category of “too stupid to be true” from which only bigotry is exempt (“Massacre of Jedwabne Jews Still Tears at Polish Society,” Commentary, June 13). This is akin to the U.S. government asking the Native Americans to apologize for the Dust Bowl and any other environmental damage on land seized from them 100 years previously.
