VS. CHARLOTTE, 7:30

Site--Staples Center.

TV--Fox Sports Net.

Radio--KWKU (1220).

Records--Sting 1-7, Sparks 8-0.

Record vs. Sting--1-0.

Update--After weekend victories over Seattle and Portland to set a WNBA record for most wins to start a season, the Sparks took Monday off to rest and recharge. Coach Michael Cooper has a good reason not to let Los Angeles dwell on its accomplishment. Despite the great start, the Sparks haven’t created much space between themselves and the rest of the Western Conference. Tonight they play a Charlotte team they beat by nine points June 2. Lisa Leslie had a big night, with 20 points and nine rebounds. The Sting offense is anchored by Andrea Stinson and Allison Feaster, who average 18 and 14 points, respectively. The Sting lost to Seattle Monday.
