* Maytag Corp. directors elected former Whirlpool executive Ralph F. Hake as chairman and chief executive. Hake, 52, most recently was chief financial officer and executive vice president at Fluor Corp., but he spent 12 years at Whirlpool, one of Maytag’s chief competitors.
* Delphi Automotive Systems Corp. said it would post second-quarter earnings “at the low end” of its previous guidance of $160 million to $200 million, but still slightly better than current Wall Street estimates.
* A coalition of U.S. exporters launched a campaign to back President Bush’s drive to get trade-promotion authority, a Republican-backed measure that would give him power to sign market-opening accords that can’t be amended by Congress.
