4 More Headless Bodies Found
Muslim rebels who kidnapped about two dozen hostages, including three Americans, dumped the beheaded bodies of two captives near a highway outside the capital of a remote southern island Saturday, police said.
The two Filipinos, found near Isabela, appeared to have been killed that morning, Philippine police said.
Elsewhere on Basilan island, police announced Saturday that they found the bodies of two other headless Filipinos on Friday night in Tuburan town, an eastern area frequented by the Abu Sayyaf guerrillas. But the police were unable to identify the bodies or say whether they were of hostages.
The guerrillas continue to hold about two dozen hostages on Basilan island, where thousands of soldiers are searching for them.
