‘Sex Workers’

Your political correctness is often craven. But it struck a new low of vapid silliness in “Issue of Gays Splits Summit” (June 26), on the U.N. summit on AIDS. I assume that “sex workers” is now your term for prostitutes. I am sure your readers among the world’s oldest profession will cherish this unwillingness to offend with words that might be taken as exhibiting moral judgments.
