* Re: “3 Investors Take Roles in Bailing Out Theaters,” [Feb. 16]:
Among the “enigmatic Los Angeles investors” is Michael Milken, so we know that something’s happening there, for good or evil.
It doesn’t take an MBA from Harvard to know that too many theaters have been built in several communities in Southern California. One often sees no more than eight or 10 people in a movie house.
Perhaps they are making it up on the popcorn. Who knows? Perhaps someone “in charge” should take a look at the books before we have a real scandal here.
