Hackett, Boeckmann Join Fluor Board

James T. Hackett and Alan L. Boeckmann have joined the board of directors of Fluor Corp. in Aliso Viejo. Hackett is chairman, president and chief executive of Ocean Energy Inc. He also has served as a group president with Duke Energy, executive vice president with PanEnergy Co., divisional president with Dynegy Inc. and vice president with Burlington Resources. Boeckmann is president and chief operating officer of Fluor Corp.

* Wayne Nesbit has been named senior vice president of operations for Mindspeed Technologies, the Internet infrastructure business of Conexant Systems Inc. in Newport Beach. Nesbit had been vice president and director of worldwide external technology at Motorola Inc. Simon Biddiscombe was appointed vice president and corporate controller. Prior to joining Mindspeed, Biddiscombe was senior vice president, chief financial officer and chief operating officer at Wyle Electronics.

* Don Hancock has been appointed senior project manager at R.D. Olson Construction in Irvine. He was previously senior construction manager at Disney’s California Adventure theme park. Hancock also worked at Butler Construction International, Community National Corp. and Fluor Corp.

* Brent R. Jones has joined Junum Inc. in Costa Mesa as vice president of sales and marketing. He was formerly chief operating officer for Autobytel.com and president of Autobytel Canada Inc.

* Larry Hickey has been appointed vice president of professional services for Buyproduce in Irvine. He was formerly vice president of business development for Worldstream Communications, and before that was director of global alliances for Niku Corp. and vice president of professional services for Proamics Corp.

* Mark Ernst has been appointed vice president, human resources for Autobytel.com Inc. in Irvine. He had been vice president of human resources for Freedom Communications.

* Christopher Jennings has been named to the board of directors of Infinilink Corp. in Irvine. He is co-chief executive of GlobalEuroNet Group.

* Marc Rogers has joined RiechesBaird in Irvine as a Web project manager. He was previously an account executive in new business development at Blue C Communications and a strategic Web analyst and interactive project manager at Foote, Cone & Belding/Xygote Interactive.

* Rick Warren has been appointed president of Post Modern Edit LLC in Santa Ana. Warren joined the company in 1997 as a consultant and was later named executive vice president of marketing and operations.

* George Bers has been named vice president of Beckman Coulter Inc.’s Bioresearch division in Fullerton. He succeeds Jack Finney, who is retiring in June after 39 years with the company. Bers was previously vice president of business development at Nanogen Inc. in San Diego, and before that spent 24 years with Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc. in Hercules, Calif.

* Dominic Symes has joined NuVisions in Irvine as partner and creative director. He is also a partner with NetZuppa, the company’s Web design division. Symes was previously with Saatchi and Saatchi and ran his own agency, Wall Street Advertising in South Africa, for nine years.

* Robert E. Tarlton has been elected to the board of directors of the Irvine Barclay Theatre. Tarlton is community and government affairs manager for Lincoln and Mercury headquarters in Irvine, and media and community affairs manager for Ford Motor Co.’s Western region.

* Julie Eklund has been named volunteer manager for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Orange County affiliate. She was formerly an account executive in the Los Angeles office of Golin/Harris International, media relations associate at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona and staff writer and copy editor for the San Gabriel Valley Newspaper Group in West Covina.
