U.S. District Judge Abraham Lincoln Marovitz, 95, veteran Chicago jurist who repeatedly swore in the Mayors Daley. Long a favorite of Chicago Democratic politicians, Marovitz administered the mayoral oath to the late Richard J. Daley six times and to Daley’s son, Richard M. Daley, three times. During his private law practice, Marovitz represented and befriended such entertainers as Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra and Jimmy Durante.
