An Enron Corp. unit signed a long-term deal Monday to help launch software retailer Electronics Boutique Holdings Corp.’s video-games-on-demand Web service, just days after the collapse of Enron’s video-on-demand venture with Blockbuster Inc.

Starting June 1, the Electronics Boutique subsidiary EBWorld.com plans to stream leading video games for rental to broadband Internet customers.

Enron Broadband Services’ content arm will handle the strategic, financial and operational support for Into Networks, which is providing the secure platform to stream the games onto home computers in real time.

The companies gave no financial terms or end date for the deal. An Enron spokeswoman said the deal was shorter than 10 years.
