Grudge Reportedly Behind Fatal Blasts
A man accused of setting off blasts that killed 108 people in northern China sought revenge in disputes with his family and others, state media said in the first official word of a motive for China’s deadliest known crime in decades.
Jin Ruchao, 41, who was arrested Friday, is the main suspect in the March 16 explosions that leveled four apartment buildings in the city of Shijiazhuang, police said.
The buildings were home to Jin’s stepmother, ex-wife and former neighbors against whom he nursed a grudge, the New China News Agency reported.
