Suit Over Cross
Re “ACLU Sues to Remove Cross From National Preserve,” March 23: What does a war memorial have to do with separation of church and state? The fact of the matter is that the people who live there and view it daily erected it, maintained it, replaced it and still want it.
Last time I heard, Arlington National Cemetery is also public property. We are not talking about graffiti but a cross in memory of our brave and fallen fathers and grandfathers. How dare they! Anyone who would seek to take down a war memorial of any kind does not deserve to be defended by the soldiers the ACLU would dishonor.
