Character Education

Share

* Re “Making Courtesy Common,” March 18: I am pleased to see that character education is being embraced in schools. When delivered appropriately, particularly in communities with diverse socioeconomic, religious and cultural backgrounds, it provides a common setting for all participants to learn the core behavior values we need to function as a society. Parents should be engaged in the process--it certainly would provide opportunity for dialogue with their children to reinforce what is being taught and perhaps help them to manage their own road-rage behavior.
