Sybron Dental Specialties Inc.:

The Orange-based manufacturer of dental and orthodontic products said net income for the second fiscal quarter totaled $11.2 million, or 31 cents a share, down 18% from $13.6 million a year ago. Sales for the quarter ended March 31 increased 3% to $111.7 million. Sybron was spun off in December from Apogent Technologies Inc.
