Fast-food giant McDonald’s Corp. said it has overhauled its senior management structure, creating new positions to oversee operations in the Americas and Europe, Asia and the Pacific. The changes came a day after the company said Vice Chairman and President Jim Cantalupo, who took charge of McDonald’s international operations in 1987, will retire next year. Alan Feldman was promoted from president of McDonald’s U.S.A. to the new position of president and chief operating officer for McDonald’s in the Americas. Jim Skinner was named to the new post of president and chief operating officer for McDonald’s in Europe and Asia/Pacific. Jeff Kindler, head of the company’s Boston Market unit, was named president of new brands, overseeing the Aroma Cafe, Boston Market, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Donatos Pizza and Pret A Manger restaurants. Shares of Oak Brook, Ill.-based McDonald’s rose 28 cents to $27.78 on the NYSE.
