Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. won contracts from the U.S. Air Force and the Federal Aviation Administration with a combined potential value of $712 million, equal to more than 20% of last year’s sales. The Pasadena-based company won an eight-year, $404-million contract from the FAA to provide architectural and engineering design at FAA facilities, Jacobs said. The company will help plan and design sites and the facilities to be built on them, and do repairs and alterations to existing FAA buildings. Jacobs’ Sverdrup Technology Inc. unit won an Air Force contract with a potential value of $308 million to help develop and test weapons systems at Florida’s Eglin Air Force Base. Jacobs shares fell 70 cents to close at $65.80 on the NYSE.
