Re “Have a Drink With That Plug” (by Paul Brownfield, April 29):

Better than a backstage bar, workaholic Jay Leno ought to loosen up on his grip of “The Tonight Show” and have a guest host appear occasionally, as was the case when Johnny Carson was host. All Jay all the time is stale and tedious. A rotation of several guest hosts would breathe some needed fresh air into a very predictable format.

This move would stir up the show even more than having drinks served on the house!
