Deal of the Week: Fall Foliage Cruise

Here’s a deal for fans of fall’s colorful leaves and classic ocean liners who don’t mind a ship with a few decades in its wake. Florida-based Regal Cruises offers a 12-night fall foliage cruise Sept. 16 through New England and Canada on its only ship, the 1953-vintage Regal Empress, for fares starting at $1,189 per person, double occupancy, under early-booking discounts. The itinerary begins in New York, and port calls include Newport, R.I.; Bar Harbor, Maine; and Corner Brook, Quebec City, Charlottetown and Halifax in Canada. The ship, which can carry 900 passengers, got new teak decks and paint last year.
