Multicultural Lessons
Planaria Price was wondering what message President Bush was sending by giving part of his weekly radio broadcast in Spanish (letter, May 8). He is sending a message of hope--the hope that we live in a country that is tolerant enough to respect the diversity of its citizenry, even those who have not yet mastered the English language. Other non-English speakers could only be heartened at Bush’s open-mindedness.
