Panel to Examine Water Quality Issue

Share

The state Department of Toxic Substances Control will hold a public meeting tonight regarding Rocketdyne’s request to deactivate three of eight ground-water treatment systems at its Santa Susana Field Laboratory and reroute the water to remaining treatment facilities.

Critics say the modifications would reduce the amount of water that could be cleaned at any given time.

The meeting will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Simi Valley City Hall’s community room, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road. Written comments will be accepted through May 31 at: Department of Toxic Substances Control, c/o Stephen Baxter, 1011 N. Grandview Ave., Glendale, CA 91201.
