Killings of Sunni Leader, 5 Others Trigger Riots

Riots broke out in Karachi after gunmen shot and killed a top Sunni Muslim leader and five of his companions in what is believed to be the latest incident of religiously motivated violence in the Pakistani port city.
Saleem Qadri, leader of a Muslim organization called Sunni Tehrik, was on his way to a mosque when gunmen opened fire on his vehicle.
Qadri, his guard and four relatives died in the attack. His 10-year-old son and two others were critically wounded, police said. The gunmen fled after the attack.
