AIDS Fund-Raiser Walk Has a $1-Million Goal
An estimated 15,000 people are expected to participate in the AIDS Walk Orange County on Sunday . Walk organizers hope the event will raise $1 million for HIV and AIDS prevention and support services.
Money is raised by walkers who solicit donations from supporters. Last year, about 15,000 walkers raised $884,000.
Participants can take either a 5K or 10K route around UC Irvine. To organize a walk team or support the event, call (949) 955-1400.
