Times Wire Services
A 16-year-old girl slapped the face of Britain’s Prince Charles with a red carnation as he stopped in downtown Riga to talk with a group of children.
“I’m against the Afghan war,” the teenager said in Russian to reporters as police took her away.
The girl, who gave only her first name, Alina, remained in police custody Thursday.
Charles is on a five-day tour of the Baltics.
