Serb Nurse to Be Extradited to Croatia
From Times Wire Reports
Swiss authorities have agreed to extradite a Serb nurse sought by Croatia after she was tried and convicted in absentia for war crimes, a spokesman for the Swiss Federal Justice Ministry said.
Zorana Banic was arrested by Swiss authorities in Zurich earlier this month.
Banic was found guilty in 1998 for her role in the deaths of 43 people shot or run over by tanks after Serbs took over a Croatian village in 1991. Banic says she is innocent.
