Ramadan Cease-Fire

Re “For Musharraf, Ramadan Question Won’t Go Away,” Nov. 11: I suggest the United States cease bombing during the holy month of Ramadan and in place “bomb” the cold and starving Afghan people with food and blankets and clothing packages. This will mollify the anger of moderate Muslims, who under war circumstances might become radical and un-American, and will show the humanitarianism proclaimed by our administration. We need not complain if some of the packages are obtained by the Taliban; it would be an answer to our collateral bombing of many innocents these past few weeks.
