B.A.G. Buys Apartment Building in Reseda

B.A.G. Investments of Beverly Hills purchased the 170-unit Talavera Apartments at 19609 Sherman Way in Reseda from MSF Sherman of San Diego for $11.8 million. Dean Zander and Robin D. Ossenbeck of Hendricks & Partners represented the buyer and the seller.

Cardinal Restaurant Supply signed a 10-year, $9.3-million lease for a 125,568-square-foot headquarters and warehouse at 700 Del Norte Blvd. in Oxnard, where the company will expand after it relocates from Newbury Park. Tony Principe of Westcord Commercial Real Estate Services represented the tenant and the landlord, Silagi Development Co.

Crest Road Homes bought a 5.3-acre site at the northeast corner of Crest Road and Hawthorne Boulevard in Rancho Palos Verdes from Tp-Rhe-One Tpx for $8.2 million. The buyer plans to raze about 53,000 square feet of retail space and build 34 single-family homes on the property, said Stephen Cramer of Colliers Seeley International, who represented the buyer with Seeley’s Mike Bodlovich and Mike Harry. The seller was represented by Clint McMorris and Steve Lawson, also of Seeley.

Bank of New York signed a five-year, $5.7-million renewal on its lease for 65,000 square feet in MCI Center at 700 S. Flower St. in Los Angeles. Insignia/ESG brokers Clay Hammerstein and Stephen L. Bay represented the tenant. John Eichler of Cushman & Wakefield represented the building owner, Hope & Flower LLC.

Leo Danichels bought the 76-unit Parkview Apartments at 16936 Burbank Ave. in Encino for about $5.4 million from Vancino. The seller was represented by Ron Harris and the buyer by John Walsh, both with Marcus & Millichap.

Morris Ventures acquired the 45,568-square-foot Via Verde Plaza shopping center at 1101 Via Verde Ave. in San Dimas from NBS Realty for nearly $5.3 million. Gregory Brown and Edward Hanley of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller. The buyer was represented by Adam Christopherson of Marcus & Millichap.

Founder John Chuck of Entertainment Lighting Services bought a 69,582-square-foot building and an adjacent parcel at 11440 Sheldon St. in Sun Valley for $4.1 million. It expects to occupy the building early next year in an expansion of its headquarters. Bob Hoyer of Delphi Business Properties represented the buyer. Ross Thomas of Delphi and Nigel Stout of Grubb & Ellis represented the seller of the building, the estate of Rose Dorfman, Nansee Lanning and Barry Dorfman. Thomas also represented the sellers of the parcel, George and Nansee Lanning.
