People like Gerry Maxey scare the hell out of me (Saturday Letters, Sept. 29). Apparently if you say something Gerry doesn’t like, you deserve to die for it.

What kind of country would it be if that kind of thing was a real possibility? I believe it’s called Afghanistan.
