Kathleen Scheide will play a program by Bach, his sons and students in the arboretum at the Crystal Cathedral. The program, “Bach’s Babies,” will include works for fortepiano (Fantasia in A minor by W.F. Bach and the “Prussian” Sonata in C minor by C.P.E. Bach) as well as organ (Toccata in C by J.S. Bach and pieces by other composers).
A graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music and USC, Scheide teaches piano, harpsichord and music history at Grossmont and Cuyamaca colleges in El Cajon. She is also an organist at First Church of Christ, Scientist, Rancho Bernardo/Poway. Her recital is sponsored by the Orange County Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
